About Pastor Dean

Pastor Dean Mabry is a native of Dallas, Texas. Saved in 2005, Pastor Dean felt a call  to preach the gospel and began ministering in his local church.  Other ministry  opportunities presented including ministering to college students and seniors as well as preaching and teaching in other congregations.   

 In June, 2010, Pastor Dean and his wife,  Elaine moved to her hometown of Ilion, New York, after God placed on their hearts to plant a church in the community. Through trials and challenges, Ilion Community Church officially opened their doors in June, 2016.  Pastor Dean and Elaine are thankful that God has allowed them to be a part of building His Kingdom and making disciples in the Ilion, New York area. As Pastor Dean notes, " Ilion Community Church is about glorifying Him, edifying the saints and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. "

Pastor Dean is licensed and ordained through the First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Georgia in conjunction with the Southern Baptist Convention.  He is presently attending the Institute for Church Leadership through the Masters Seminary Program.  

Besides his pastoral ministry, Pastor Dean is  employed part time at UPS and has been with the company  since 1997.   In his free time, Pastor Dean enjoys watching football and NASCAR as well as spending time with his wife and best friend, Elaine.
